How to Make Mummy Cupcakes for Halloween

It’s very simple to make these cute mummies on top of cupcakes. So gather a piping bag and a large, round tip, and let’s get started.

You’ll need these materials:

  • Piping Bag
  • Coupler
  • Flat petal tip, like Wilton #150
  • Candy Eyeball Sprinkles
  • Black Food Coloring

After you gather up the supplies, making your mummy cupcakes is easy.

The first thing to do is tint a small portion of the buttercream frosting with black food coloring. Then, spread a thin layer of the black frosting on top of the cupcakes.

Smooth out the black frosting, and top with two candy eyeballs.

Then, fill a piping bag with the remaining white frosting. Fit it with the flat petal tip. Pipe overlapping lines of white frosting on top of the cupcake, taking care to avoid the candy eyes. Criss-cross and overlap the lines of frosting to imitate mummy bandages.

Once you’ve covered the top of the cupcake, you’re done. Ta-da!
